Wow... You might want to try scrolling up or going back a page depending on your browser. It literally just been answered a few posts above.

With this setting, start/stop never engaged unless HVAC was turned completely off. I did the mod with OBDeleven. I don't know about VCDS and your cable.

In the Q7, there is no button for hill hold assist. You just set the parking brake and when you press the accelerator to drive away, the parking brake goes off on its own. Don't know if it's the same in the A4.

Thank you for pointing that out. I did read about this elsewhere as well, but was not sure if it was confirmed to work on the A4 as well. I see now it is confirmed to work.

Next I want to try to show the navigation map in the driver information display. I have the smaller MMI version and the color information display. Based on the coding below it should work. However it conintues to show the compass or the navigation arrows when a waypoint has been set.
Also, after the coding below, the google earth maps functionality does not work anymore. On the MMI I see the progress bar for Google earth filling up untill is completed filled, but it stays like this and the Google earth overlay is not shown. For now, I have reverted back the changes, and the Google earth overlay is working again. But I still would like to get the navigation map to be shown in the driver information system.

[VO] _Dashboard_Display_Configuration (RDID $ 0B5A)
[LO] _navigation_map_transmission_mode -> [VO] _MOST_Streaming
[LO] _navigation_map_compression_mode -> [VO] _H264
[LO] _navigation_map_Resolution -> [VO] _resolution_1

I found myself coding back to original settings the following items:

1. Lane Assist: find it too intrusive, always trying to correct the car.
2. Auto on/off: when turning off the A/C the car would shut off eventually, so I prefer to practice the common pressing of the physical button when starting the car and forget about it.

1. Even when you change the setting in MMI to late interference?
2. I will probarly never turn of the A/C, but still I hope we can find a setting to disable start/stop directly.

1.Yes.
2.I usually prefer to turn it of instead changing the temperature, etc.

i get that. I found mine being a little to jumpy in curves so now I have the input set to weak in OBDELEVEN and Late in the MMI, works much more covertly. And if I'm driving on a really curvy road I but esc in sport mode and that disables it temporarily

Default coding for displaying map in FISs non mmi plus

I've found this somewhere:

Activate map display in the FIS with a small MMI

STG 5F Information electronics 1

Adaptation

[VO] _Dashboard_Display_Configuration (RDID $ 0B5A)

[LO] _navigation_map_transmission_mode -> [VO] _MOST_Streaming

[LO] _navigation_map_compression_mode -> [VO] _H264

[LO] _navigation_map_Resolution -> [VO] _resolution_1

However, the MuFuPlus steering wheel must be installed so that the view can be changed to the FIS on the map.

Coding probably synonymous with OBDeleven
-------------

has anyone actually tried to get this to work? result should be that the navimap can be displayed in the front information system without the need for mmi+
