Default Lane Assist

I had enabled lane assist in the past with the OBD11 unit and app. Is there any way to disable lane assist within the MMI? Or is has to be disabled each time manually with the app?

Iirc, the long thread on the process said it was OBDII enable/disable only. That's one main reason I never did it. (Having it later on a loaner car convinced me it was the correct decision).

From that thread (the stalk contains the on/off function when it's factory installed):

yeah i am having the programming reversed this week most likely. Leaving it the way it was and calling it day. Wish I just left it alone. ALA sucks if you can't turn it off and on at will, not sure why anyone would want this interfering with their dirving experience all the time. this is a drivers car, ala is for cruising on the highway and thats it.

I've read that you can also temporarily disable ALA by disabling traction control. Not the best idea in the world, but...

yes but you can also disable it by turn signal temporary. I have it on late and i like because its closer to a soft reminder more than anything else

Disable ESC will turn it off until you restart the car. Did that for about a year until I just turned lane assist back off. Just was not that useful to me. Still pretty easy to just push the button one time after you start it.
