Can someone say which software # hasn't the Subwoofer control? I have a early 17 without it thinks it came on the 18's and up.

Subwoofer control only returned for B&O cars. The *** cars have never seen a Subwoofer control in this generation of cars. The B8 had them and I do wish the B9 did too.

So as it turns out MMI FW 1316 didn’t work. It’s meant for a variant with the Qualcomm chipset, and I think the early calendar year 2017 and earlier A4’s used the Nvidia Tegra 3 chipset...at least mine anyway. Those of us with earlier builds will probably max out on 692, if it can even be found. Thanks Bruce for hooking me up though.

I got 1422 for my early 2016 build after my dealer found an applicable TSB

I stand corrected. Thanks for the info. Since my dealer refuses to do any updates even when documenting problems described in a couple different TSB’s I’m at the mercy of finding the correct FW myself that has the proper variant and trains listed in the metainfo2 file. I tried amending the file with remarks to skip variants and checksum, and enabled swdl in the green menu, but then I run into invalid signature, there doesn’t seem to be a way to force the update from a self install perspective. Clearly the dealer can do this, it seems.

At least I updated the VC

My story. I already said I am having CarPlay issues and their response was "It's probably the cable". It really ticked me off. I even showed them the TSB that DirkM posted, which is for the CarPlay.. Also I'm under warranty so there really isn't any reason why they shouldn't update it.

I’m lucky to have 4+ dealers nearby and only one of them was willing to install the update.

I have a few other dealership I can contact, but if I can get my hands on the FW, I'd rather do it myself.

Default Updating the MIB2 FW

So I finally got a large enough SD Card and a fairly recent FW (thanks @bruce_miranda )! Is there a guide to update the MIB2 FW? I just see a bunch of options and all the way down, it just says "Start Update".
