Got my A4 Cab in July last year. One of the first in the UK, we took it off to Europe - Germany, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic - for two weeks. Three adults in comfort, pretty good for a cabriolet! It really was exceptionally smooth and stress free motoring. Too much luggage (I had two women with me) to let us put the hood down whilst travelling between destinations though.
Only two problems so far. We ran out of petrol on the German Autobahn - not impressed as the computer said we still had 40 miles to go and the warning light had not come on. Took a lot of convincing my dealer it was a real problem until their MD broke down in his Cab as well. Turns out the petrol guages on early models were incorrectly calibrated.
Other than that the hood where it meets the top rail squeaks sometimes.
I hope the picture link works. The spec is:

3.0 Manual
Carribean Blue/Blue Hood
Blue Leather
Interior Light Pack
Acoustic Parking
Headlight Washers
Heated Folding Mirrors
Auto Dipping Mirror
12 Spoke Alloys
Cool Box
Electric Front Seats
Sports Seats
Heated Seats
Sports Suspension
Bose
Tracker (btw. I can confirm that Tracker works, my dealer took the car off on a trailer and a few minutes later I got a call saying my car had been moved!)

I will probably buy a wind deflector in the summer, they really work but there wasn't much point last summer with three of us in the car on holiday.

Default Non Sport

Car looks great - it's nice at last see a non sport Cab. I ordered my non sport model back in August which I am getting on March 1st. (prefer a softer ride and the 16" wheels)

I saw my first non sport last Saturday at my dealership - it had your choice of wheels too.

I assume that as you had yours so early that you had no choice in spec, as you have sports seats and sports suspension as individual options.

Once again great pic :-) In my opinion I think your wheels look much nicer than the Sport wheels.

Happy Birthday mole.

Hampshire I am glad you picked up on the spec anomalies but I DID have a choice on the spec (I ordered the car in November 2001). There was method in my madness on the Non Sport. Here was my reasoning:

a) I wanted the 4-spoke steering wheel (mainly for the radio controls).
b) I wanted sports suspension but not large wheels/ultra low profile tyres. I thought this would give the best compromise between ride/handling. I think I got it right, this is the best handling Audi I have owned. We also have an A4 saloon with std suspension and it rolls too much. We have also had Audis with sports suspension and 17/18" wheels and it was too harsh. Good though the Cabriolet is, it is still no match for my standard sprung BMW 3-series :-( The only other thing the BMW has that I would cherry pick for the Audi is fresh air to the face vents.
The other consideration on the wheels was the Diamond alloys I was considering did look vulnerable to easy damage, plus the extra cost of replacing tyres.

This car actually ended up costing me more than a Sport because I wanted the Sports Seats and Suspension which together cost the same as the Sport package and then I still had to pay for the upgraded alloys. I think the wheels look nice enough for me not to suffer at re-sell time though and a dealer would probably put it in the forecourt as a Sport anyway. (I actually got a slight discount in the end so paid the same as if I were buying a Sport).

As I said I did have a choice on spec but some things were limited (interior could be black, grey or blue) and you HAD to have electric seats. I wanted Xenons but could not justify the cost. Everything else I ordered is a must IMO (but each to their own).

I thought long and hard between Aquamarine and Carib Blue (i.e contrast light/dark or all dark). The dealer talked me out of Aqua but I saw one the other day and really liked it (but no more than what I have). For practical reasons it would be a better choice as the Audi (water-based)paintwork is an aboslute bugger for swirl marks and this shows up even more on dark colours (you can see this even on brand new cars in showrooms).

Default Light Pack

Fair Point Muzzy but at the time I thought I was paying for those plus make up mirrors, extra interior lights plus 'atmospheric lighting' - still a rip-off though assuming you are correct about what you get as standard
