Which will come first? Facelift of manual transmission?
I've been seriously considering an A4 Cab, but I won't drive another automatic; they're just not as much fun. I'd love the current body-style A4 Cab in stick, but that's not an option. My underlying fear is that the window of opportunity is closing, i.e. they'll introduce a manual transmission only after the refresh with the new single-pane grill 
I'm currently driving a fully loaded 1998 A4 2.8 QTipSport with about 47,000 miles on it.

A used S4 Cab is probably the right answer; it'll be about the same price as a new, loaded 3.0 and will have a manual transmission...
