I currently have a 2013 S8.
I was using an HTC Sense from T-mobile and the address book worked fine. I was using Touchdown as my exchange client and the standard Google phone book as my other. Both worked fine.
I changed to an HTC one using native exchange. nothing worked in the phone book. previous callers were all still listed by number, no names however. Audio worked fine for calls and streaming audio.
Tried almost every option in multiple forums including going to the dealer. I read how android native contacts list is stored differently, which seems like horse poo as rooted htc ones work fine. I think its an att issue with there versioning of android. so I bought the Bluetooth phonebook app for 1.99
now it all works fine.
the free version of the app will send 3 dummy contact to see if it will work.
read the app page if you want an explanation of how it works..
however i wished i would have done this sooner. I can always ditch the app if they fix this.
