Yeah, same here and as I said before, my mother tongue is not English and I have no issue with voice commands.

Agree....never use google maps or waze in the car and never have problems with voice recognition. Phones are too cumbersome in a car and line-of-sight mounting alternatives are unappealing...my phone aways just sits in my belt holster when I drive. We have no issues with the nav...wish the audio system worked as well!

It appears to search the cities alphabetically. I had to double-check this, because I used the MMI controls maybe twice in the last three years to enter a destination. There are much more efficient ways to enter destinations such as using voice and just speak the entire address, or using voice to do a Google Local search or just send the destination to the car from your phone or Google Maps on a computer. Using the controls is like the last resort, IMO. I still think the system gets better the more advantage you take of all the features it has, especially the connected car aspects. If you think your friend's 2010 Q5 is better, then you clearly haven't explored much of the newer more advanced features.

Keep in mind that the original post was made in 2013. My 2016 nav is MUCH improved over previous iternations. The nav in my wife's BMW was incredibly bad--unusable really. The Audi nav is still quirky and I am still figuring out the best ways to enter addresses, find POIs, etc, but I can usually find a way to get it done. I do use google maps on my iPhone to confirm the route and double check route conditions - although the traffic feature on my nav has worked extremely well.

What I don't understand is why - when I begin to input a city it shows me cities in other states first and not in order of distance from my location. My friends 2010 Q5 has better navi input options. Unless I've missed a setting somewhere... I'm not happy with the nav at all.
Use daily. Do not use voice commands however....
