Is anyone experiencing a door closing issue, I literally have to slam the door for it to close.

Common issue on the C8, I think Audi have uped the spec of the door seals and everywhere else where air might escape when you shut the door, meaning it needs a bit more effort to shut than normal. I think the problem appears worse as you are coming to a new car from one that has been used for a while. It does improve over time as the seals soften, had mine 5 months now and it is much better

Agree, that annoyed me a lot when I test drove a Premium Plus, not an issue with the Prestige auto close.

You are absolutely correct. I have had numerous cars over the years and the more I sealed them with aftermarket D ring rubber seals I ran into this issue.

So this doesn't surprise me.

I hope that's the case (the seals), because my first thought was that it was an alignment issue. I had that on the trunk latch of my 2016.

I had this issue since I purchased the car, bought a self closing door kit from China, installed it by myself, and now it's just like the prestige model, costs like $700 to DIY.

It’s on Taobao.com, I don’t think you could use this web to buy because they only take Alipay, I can help you buy if you want. The installation is not easy tbh, there is an instruction video but it’s in Chinese. Also the warranty could be an issue, so far I have no problem, but I’m not sure how reliable it is.
