Anyone ever had a xenon headlight fail?
My right front winked out last nite after maybe 10 hours total night driving after 10k miles. First experience with xenons.. Is this common? Are they delicate or something? Do they replace the bulb or the whole assembly?

At about the same mileage my R/S xenon failed. I noted the L & R headlamps each have their own fuse, thinking it was worth a look, I pulled the fuse for the R/S. It was fine, so I put the fuse back....lamp has worked fine since.

FYI...the bumper must be pulled in order to install new ignitors
If the problem is intermittent, it could be the ignigtor. I've had the same problem....my dealer has ordered the ignitor.

What is the ignitor?
I am fairly up on HID/metal halide lighting and I am unfamiliar with what component would be called the ignitor. The electronic ballast that runs the HID bulb also "ignites" the bulb during startup but I don't think there is an ignitor as such.
