Current "standard" lease promotion is:
A6 Avant -
PCC- Preferred package

10,000 miles/year
39 months
$2500 cap cost reduction
$459/Month

I would like to know the lease rate and residual % (for 10,000 and for 12,000 miles).
I know that the only numbers I really am concerned with are cap cost/and monthly payment BUT:
In order to understand how much it is possible to negotiate, I need to know the dealer profit margin. I don't need to beat out the last $500 from them but I'd like to minimize the cost. I'd also like to play with the figures adding/deleting options and miles. It's pretty simple to calculate as long as you know 3 of the 4 variables.

the numbers probably don't add up, because they are biting the bullet somewhere (either residual or money factor) and using unrealistic numbers.

Well, to give you an idea. I got my A6 Avant about a month ago. The numbers were something like this.

A6 Avant with preferred luxury package, convience package, premium package, heated front and rear seats and Bose sound system.

MSRP 44,025
cap 42,200
$0 down
39 months at 12,000 per year.
around $573/month.
residue is around 52% I think.

I think the money factor was something like 2.4% ?

Thanks...the numbers seem correct. The interest rate came to 2.88%. When I had mentioned that Volvo was offering a little less than 3% my Audi dealer noted that their rates were similar and your post seems to confirm that...Again thanks for the useful information...Cary
