Default clear bra for 2002 s6

Has anyone in the LA or Orange County area installed a clear bra on the S6 avant? I went
to a 3M clear bra installer last weekend and he
could do the hood but to my suprise the bumper
on the S6 in differnet then the standard A6 avant. None of the Audi patterns (RS6, Allroad,
A6 4.2) would work. I know there are only a limited number of S6 Audis out there. I found
that Stongard does make a kit for the S6 put the
installer is over 5 hours away.

Default Where did you go?

Try Envisage Design Labs - http://www.envisagedesignlabs.com

or Tint Factory (310)815-1013.

Thanks...I'm at work so I'm on and off the computer. I think I tried the Tint Factory and
they only have kits for A6. I'll call again, and I'll
try your other suggestion.

Default skip the precut kits......

best fit/appearance option is to find an installer who works with uncut 3m scotchcal sheets. as they apply the material the edges are cut to fit. using this approach they can take the material edges further around the bumper seams and hood edges so the install looks virtually borderless. looks much better and the real bonus is no wax-edge issues except on the hood span.

i had this done 2 years ago for < than 300$ which was less than precut kits and it has held up like new and care is much quicker without all those edges. must be lots of installers that use the free cut approach in lala land....often they are the same folks that do window film, since the technique is so similar.

cheers

Envisage gives two options: pre-cut or rolled over the edges.

Default Bumper, hood, mirrors and lamps?

They do great work there and their facility is clean. They also install window tint.

Default midwest tinting.......

the shop that's over on shawnee mission parkway. they did an excellent job. i opted to have hood, corners and top half of bumper done, down to the relief line. the lower bumper section with fogs and vents has so many cutouts and contours that that section alone was another 300$. also i see no reason to do the mirrors or lights.

hood chips drive me nuts so the was the best paint protect money i've ever spent. a mod that just keeps on giving....

cheers
