Default Well, you already know about the difficulties involved with dark colored cars...

...so there's no need to go into that aspect here. The Night Blue / Platinum is attractive. When mine is freshly washed and shined it's gorgeous (to my eye, at least). So's the Dolphin / Platinum, though. Another thing about the Dolphin is that it was new to the A6 for '04, so there will never be many around. Ming and Night (both look the same to me) have been on A6s since the 2000 model year, so there are a lot of them out there. If you value exclusivity, Dolphin is the better choice.

In the end, I recommend getting the car (and color) that you like better. If doing so costs you an extra $300, so be it. You'll forget about spending the extra $300 long before you'll stop enjoying the pleasure of owning the exact car you wanted in the first place. FWIW.

Default Here's a dealer in Cleveland w/ a good selection of S-line

Fred Baker Audi / P-Car. Has a good rep, sorry it's out of your way. Lots of dolphin cars, but doesn't show interior color.

Fred Baker Audi

Agreed. I'd drive to PA to get it. It's not like the car's in Iowa.

Default very good point....not really into the blue anywho ...my only concern...

according to the dealer was the time frame...they have this promotion (so they say) till the 6th of july....the list price on the car is $48,720...and i'm getting it for $40,895...to me it sounds like a GOOD deal....but they are telling me if i don't do it before the 6th they can't guarantee that price...they get cha don't they...now do you think this is a good deal, or pretty standard?

Default Sounds like an outstanding deal.

I'm curious, though - exactly what "promotion" are they talking about? Is there some type of financial incentive that they're passing on to you that expires on July 6th?

Regardless, if you can get the Dolphin car with sport seats for only $300 more, I feel strongly that you should get it. In the end, you'll be much happier with it, assuming that it's equipped exactly the way you want it.

Default It does sound very good. The bank and AFS lease specials change every month

around the 6th. Depending on remaining inventory, those specials may change (better or worse) - or if only a few cars left on the ground, be halted altogether. Nobody knows what will happen except AFS, and it is a point of great secrecy.

Default WELL...i'm getting the Dolphin shipped to me...will be in tonight..and i pick up tomorrow!!! And...

yes, to answer your question...a 'financial incentive'...basically like paying cash for it...I'm using an outside source other than their Audi finance program essentially.
