Fact or Fiction : A6 2.7T Downpipes the same as B5 S4 ?
#3
Not necessarily a confirmation...
Milltek sells the same Tip DPs for both the B5 S4 and C5 A6. My personal experience is that they fit, but they're not ideal. The flex joint was to close to, if not rubbing on, a sharp edge on the tranny. The Millteks also hung to low to use a DTS.
What I don't know is whether this was a Milltek issue or if it had to do with a difference in the shape of S4 and A6 DPs.
In any case, I pulled the Miltecks and installed Piggies.
Hope this helps

Similar but different, this was discussed here a week or so ago.....
....it's known that the B5 downpipes have staggered length outlet pipes coming out (whereas the C5 are equal-length outlets), but people have noted that this was easy to work around.
The TIP versus manual tranny versions are definitely different and not interchangeable.

They probably could but I don't know if it would be cost effective unless you bought
them at a really good price.
Since vast performance sells the piggie pipe for a reasonable amount I would just go that route.
