count up time spent pulling motor a second time and rebuilding one turbo, and see if it was worth the savings then add to it when you have to do it all over again for the OTHER turbo :P!

Ok, hard to argue with that so I am definitely just going to replace both cores while the engine is out and hopefully I will never have to pull this engine again. Although I may be too cheap to actually pay for the labor I do know this way it is done properly. Plus all that time away from the wife drinking beer in the garage, well I guess that’s a small price to pay.

yeah not trying to get you to spend more money, but you will literally want to do a murder suicide if you get it all back together and have the right turbo go out 5k from now ..... long run you will be happier if you have the funds, id op to install a turbine rpm sensor, that way youll REALL be able to monitor those bad boys!

Yeah that WOULD be nice. I think I saw those on the Garrett website but they were pretty pricey. Does anyone else make those RPM sensors that might be cheaper? That way I could talk sh*t when she’s spooling up. “That’s right, I’m your Franken-Daddy. Now show me 170K you oily redhot B*tch!”
