Ok, so I have an Audi A6 C5 Avant (2001) and recently had the rear wiper motor replaced. The shop that I used could provide only OEM motor which was crazy expensive, so I got a cheaper one online.

Now here's the problem - the rear wiper after the replacement now works like so: - in OFF setting, it turns on every ~15 seconds - in ON setting, it turns on every ~7 seconds or so.

So right now I can only make it faster/slower but can never turn it off completely, so I've removed the fuse for the time being. I tried replacing the relay (4B0 955 531 E) - same thing.

So my question is - is the wiper motor defective, or it could be an issue of how it was connected, as far as I see it's a simple 4 pin connector and the water hose? What do?

Don't know your location but autohausaz.com lists the motor at $109. Probably similar pricing from Blau Parts, ESC Tuning, etc.
