Will disconnected battery cause low idle

Will leaving the battery cable off over night screw with the computer and cause car to idle too slow?

Mine idled irratically after having the batt. disconnected for a couple hours...

...I did the throttle body alignment procedure and it was fine after that. This was on my 2.7, BTW.

It can, till the ECU relearns the throttle pedal/idle etc..

Alway's good idea to re-adapt throttle body after battery disconnect

or any general maintenance. Need VAG and about 30 seconds. I think it is hookup, connect to engine diagnostics, basic settings, channel 060 and run...
