I went to Magnaflow site and wanted my exhaust set up like the rs4 catback system(check the sound clips A6 & S6 V8 setup too tame only difference no resonators). I had the factory pipes removed from in front of the resonators the whole way back (There are two sets of resonators, I removed ALL of them). I had 2.5" piping installed with an X PIPE (VERY IMPORTANT, do not substitute an H or eliminate this step). Had 2 mufflers installed (Part #12225 5"x8"x14"). SOUNDS GREAT!!! RUNS GREAT...and here is the best part $400 (Labor, Mufflers and Pipe, I used my factory tips)! Find someone who specializes in exhaust and have them bend the pipe and WELD it (NO CLAMPS). Same as the advertised cat back system for $1600. Any questions or if you would like a sound clip let me know. I will try and get one on asap.

Did you pick up any additional power?

It feels smoother but I cannot confirm that I actually have a power increase. The magna flow sits says 10% gain on cat back systems. I find that a little aggressive (that would be 33 hp). Even if it's 10-15 that's not bad for the money.

So i have completed the exhaust install and am VERY Pleased to say the least. It sounds great. Like a V8 should sound. Take a listen. Keep in mind the sound clips hardly do it justice but if you want one let me know and I will email it to you. I would recommend to anyone thinking about exhaust changes to do what I did.
