Default 2008 A6 3.2L Quattro Brakes

I have a 2008 A6Q with a 3.2L engine and 40,000 miles. I was told I will need new front brakes soon. Could anyone give me an idea as to how much I should expect to pay for new pads and rotors for the front, including installation.

Thanks

Labor rate will vary regionally, but for just pads and rotors, it's generally quoted our at around a 2hr job.
For parts shoot us an email or phone call. We carry OE parts at a huge savings over dealership prices, and will probably save you a big chunk of change.

About 9 months ago I paid the dealer around $1,200 to replace the pads and rotors on all 4 wheels of my 4.2

Is that dealer price? That sounds pretty cheap.

If you go the dealer route, expect $500-$700 for front brake job. You can get ceramic pads and rotors for about $250 (less if you you go standard pads). I bought my parts online (not pure motorsports but I am sure they would take care of your needs as well). I replaced mine on my own. Front brakes don't require anything special to replace. There is a DIY that has details and pics if you wanted to go that route.

You could buy the parts and bring them to an independant to have them changed and just pay labor (check with them first to make sure they would let you bring your own parts).
