AC HELP!

AC HELP!
So i bought my '05 A6 3.2L this january (2012) and everything worked, but a couple weeks ago i tried to use the AC for the first time and it wasn't cold at all. I had a mechanic try to charge the AC but it was already charged and didn't need to be filled. The coldest air that comes out is whatever the temperature is outside, and with temperatures around me pushing 90 now, i desperately need my AC!!! My brother seems to think it could be a sensor, does anyone know what it could be, or has anyone had this problem?

I had the same problem on my 07, 3.2 for like a month. It turned out that the Compressor was gone. But in my case it was the dealership that diagnosed the issue. It did not send any error codes everytime I scanned with a Vagcom. I'm not saying that this is the exact problem you have but have them check it as well. I'm now enjoying the icy cold air in Arizona heat
