Mirror Problem
I did not stick around with the dealer to demonstrate as I need to run after the 15k service. I also found out that they don't fix rattlling problem after 6 months....
Thanks.
There's a tolerance that the mirror has when it decides to return the mirror to its correct position. These tolerances can build up over time to move the mirror eventually into the totally wrong position (or hardly move it at all). He set the tolerance in my mirror motors to zero, and so far I haven't seen the problem return.
It's BS that the customer is treated as a liar until they can demonstrate a problem to the dealer tech. I understand that's Audi's policy (and not the dealer) but it's a horrendous experience for the customer.
On the rattle issue - I have had my dealer fix rattle issues 3-4 years later free of charge as long as the car is under warranty and never said no.... never heard them say they can't because 6 months are over. Sounds like you need a new dealer ;-)
