I believe you have to use VCDS to code the new rack so your ECU would accept it. It is not just plug and play. The second hand rack that you bought and installed may also need to have its component protection disabled. You have to visit a dealer do it if this is the case.

Thanks for help. Got it all working I bought 3 different ones on the 3rd one it worked didn't have to program anything. Just plug it in. All I have to do is reset the fault code
