Text messages no longer showing in MMI

Text messages no longer showing in MMI
I have a 2016 A7. Until recently, new text messages to my iPhone would show up in my MMI, and I would get an audible tone announcing that a new message had arrived.
Somewhere along the line, this stopped happening. I did have an update to my phone's iOS a while back. I'm not even sure how to begin troubleshooting this. All the network connections to my car seem fine. Google maps works, AudiConnect works, my car's Wi-fi network works fine. I've been through the phone's settings and nothing appears to be amiss.
Any ideas?

I would reset the bluetooth connection first and go from there. It works fine on my 2016 Audi A7 with my Samsung Note 4. I did have issues with iPhones in past with my Lexus and BMW with messages going to car so it may have to do with recent update you have done but I doubt it. Try deleting the phone from the navigation and the Audi from the phone and re-establish a new connection and it should work.

I didn't realize the 2016 A7 had that feature. I currently have a US spec 2016 and it is never showed text messages. Can someone give me some insight into what settings I need to change? Thanks!

Hopefully this is an associated question, but I also have a 2016 and have a hell of a time keeping Audi Connect connected. Keeps wanting my PIN which I enter and its fine for that drive but then a few days later when I go back, same problem. I'd seen some posts with similar complaints but yours seemed to indicate you are having no problem. Can you confirm and if you have any suggestions, that'd be great.
