Default ACC and grill sensor

Hey guys

We’re looking at upgrading our ‘17 A7 to a ‘20 A7 Prestige. Now, looking at the specs online, it seems that the prestige comes standard with the drivers assistance package (which his ACC). I found a car online that I’m interested in but the photos don’t show the ACC radar on the front grill (I’ve been browsing other dealers’ websites as well and I found a similar car with the same “issue”). What’s weird is that these cars are labeled as 2020 A7 Premium with prestige package where’s the ones I saw with the ACC radar are labeled 2020 A7 Prestige. The premium with prestige has everything that supposedly comes in the prestige version (and adds $10500 to the msrp). Which makes me wonder why the radar sensors were missing in these two cars I saw.
I know the ‘19 didn’t come with ACC standard in the prestige and it was updated for 2020. I assumed all 2020 Prestiges to have the sensors.

Car I’m looking at is this.
This is another car that I’m interested in that has the radar sensors. You can see the difference in wording in the two advertisements. Any help will be appreciated.

Edit - Here is another car with the same “issue” I’ve noticed. No ACC radar sensor on the grill but according to its specs, it does have the Drivers assistance package.

I have the A7 Prestige, and a big difference is the 360 camera compared to the Premium line. I think those two black boxes have cameras. Maybe it also contributes to the pre-sense system (stop/go and start/stop engine mild hybrid).

The listing show both as Prestige, but one of them is Premium in the picture and header.

exactly. Listing shows it’s a premium with prestige package. And in the prestige package, it says drivers assistance package is present. Which I believe includes ACC. Which needs those sensors on the grill to work. Which is absent on the grill of that car. That’s why it’s all confusing.

Thank you very much for responding. I drove the A7 too and compared to my C7.5 A7, it left me unimpressed. The supercharged engine feels so much better than the turbocharged engine. So I’ve stopped looking at it for now.

They are Prestiges but the window sticker on them shows a technology delete credit of $2,350. My guess is that early production 2020 A7 prestiges didn't have driver assist as standard like it is now. Any car with ACC will have the radar visible on the grill.

That's too bad. I drove the 2014 S7 and it was awesome. So smooth. So I originally was looking to get a 2017 S7, but the 2019 A7 to me had sufficient power and smoothness - if you disable start/stop (like the competition A7). And I'm sold now on the technology inside and glad I chose C8. Can't live without CarPlay touchscreen 😂

Thank you for the clarification! Funnily enough, the CA I spoke to didn’t know why it didn’t have the radar sensors!

Yes. A7 to S7 is not a huge jump. The A7 feels almost as fast as the S7. And maybe it’s about getting used to the touchscreens and stuff in the A7. I’ve gotten a really good offer on a brand new 2019 A7 where they’re offering $17k off the MSRP of $91k. It’s very tempting but I love the supercharged engine better. But let’s see what’s in store.

Yeah the new C8 A7 I feel has enough power at low speeds for a comfy drive. The non-touchscreens on the C7 was a little annoying using the **** or scratch pad.. My kid was touching the screen and was like "why doesn't it work."

Sounds like a pretty good deal. I got mine for $72K in Maryland for the A7 Prestige ($8300) with Individual Contour/Massage Seating package ($3200) + Drivers Assistance ($2750)+ 21" Wheels ($1K) + s-line ($1K) + Cold Weather rear seats ($600) + rings ($450)+ mats ($310) + black headliner. MSRP $87.2K. Hopefully you got at least all that. And the B&O standard sound system on the A7 C8's are amazing. I think far improved from the old Bose in the previous Audi models.

This doesn’t have the luxury seating package. But it had the advanced B&O system for 4.9k and dynamic steering and stuff for like 2k or so. Pretty tempting I must say, especially with the discounts. On road price of $77k for a $91msrp car.
And yes. The Bose system is crappy. Even the B&O in my B9 is better.
