Default A8 4.2 40V manual conversion and rebiuld engine

Hello, this is my first post and I want to introduce you to my project. Namely A8 4.2 40V manual conversion. Cost me a four months, to get all parts and finish it. For now I have changed console pedals
(from A8 2.5TDI non quattro)
(from 2.5TDI non quattro)
I put my hand on the from A8 2.5TDI non quattro)
The box itself chose FTL 01E 3.889 ratio (from A6 2.5TDI)

with the rear differential(from automatic A8 3.7). Lengthened and balanced propshaft. Front axles from a manual transmission to the A8. Modified flywheel from 3b engine, Clutch and disc from S4. As I changed all the seals. And I did a full rebiuld engine.

Custom 3b flywheel. Developed from myself. Aproximetly 11kg.




Some problemic part for oil leak, cant see before remove engine...

Poor oil leak from gasket on carter ventilation

Perfekt cilynder, not have 1/1000 mm wear.

This is the reason to have oil consumption on high rpm... ?


Cleaned vs non cleaned piston

Head's in very poor condition, all valve's cannot hold. Changed exhaust valve guide too.


Some problem's parts is healed...

This small pipe is from block to oil cooler.
How look insine




2000rpm = 120km/h (speedometer is calibrated by gps)

i did same conversion but used Urs4 parts.Wondering what you did with engine ecu.

Stay with conected TCU in drive mode (D). Everething working. No have any error at ECU, ABS, Instruments, except TCU. But is drive very well and smooth like that.

i have left tcu connected,and prnd432 lights ar all lit,but I have some idle problems,

How kind of problem? My idle rpm=520. Engine work very smooth. But before rebiuld work terable.

Rpm go up,which is really annoying instead droping down

I know Scott Dewitt reflashed an s8 with a european manual transmission ecu file. Worked great.
