Default ABZ engined A8 starts, then dies.

1994 A8, ABZ engine quattro, engine starts, then dies instantly. I know it's the immobilizer problem so i bought immo emulator from ebay. That didn't fix it. Car doesn't have original key neither ignition lock. What would be the possible solution?

Try unplugging the cluster, wait 30 seconds and plug back in. I had a similar issue and that was the fix. Below is a link to my thread and directions to getting the instrument cluster out.

Removing the cluster is very easy. It only took me 45 minutes to remove and reinstall.

Good luck.

Tried that, no help. Diagnostics tell me that engine control unit is blocked. No access to immobilizer control unit because I have that disconnected and replaced with immo emulator. So I guess that the emulator is not working like it should?

Cheers!

Oh and the car has separate immo box, not in the instrument cluster.
