Default Dad blew a tire out on his A8... good replacement?

He has the Eagle LS in 225/55/17 right now, Direct tire told him the A8 is too heavy for the Falken Ziex ZE 512's that I have.

What do you recommend for a decent All Season tire that should hold up under regular driving?

Default How worn are his other 3? I think someone posted about tread wear diameter differences having

adverse effects on quattro drivetrains.

Default They arent too worn, 50% tops. It should be within the tolerance if he sticks to same size...

But I am telling him to switch to a new brand of tire on all 4. There are clearly better options out there than the Eagle LS.

Default Yep, if you order from tire rack you can have a tire shaved..

To get close to matching the other 3. If they're half gone might want to consider new tires all around.
