Default Mercedes 4Matic Vs. Audi Quattro

What do you guys think of the Mercedes 4Matic?
I know the difference is that 4Matic is sensor detected 4WD and Quattros are full time AWD.
Any major drawbacks or benefits from 4Matics?

Default Major drawback of 4matic -- it is in Mercedes

After living through Mercedes ownership for the last five years I would not advise anyone to buy a three-pointed Dodge. The technology doesn't matter when the company does not stand behind the product.

Default Re: Mercedes 4Matic Vs. Audi Quattro

Believe it or not but Audi's Quattro is starting to get a bit long in its tooth. It was the best but I believe that the new electronically controlled systems offer better control and modification of the drive configuration, based upon driving conditions. With an electronic system you can get almost all the power to the rear wheels in dry weather.

Default Camaro and Firebird have fiberglass bodies?

Obviously not all info is correct. Most seems pretty good though.

Default the new quattro

will be a static 60:40 rwd to fwd bias and will use the torsen "c-type" diff w/ centre epicyclic.

bear in mind that with a torque sensing centre diff and front & rear diff locks (claytons), you have a great deal of control of torque distribution.
