Default Mobil 1 and tranny update

After having my transmission fluid flushed and replaced with Mobil 1, things started to go downhill. Had the Mobil 1 pumped out and replaced w/8 qts. Audi fluid.(Took 16 qts for full flush - ouch!).Tranny was still not right. Got the PRD12345 light-up and limp mode. After reading billga's post, I took the car to Herbert@ Eurotrans. The guy's an absolute prince.
He explained the following:
1. You've got to use the Audi fluid
2. Mobil 1 is not compatable
3. The electronics are pretty sophisticated and require the proper equipment to monitor and adjust.
4. "Lifetime" in Germany is about 100m km due to the high speeds most of these cars are driven.
5. The Audi transmission has been problematic and there have been software and hardware upgrades along the way.
6. He repairs transmissions for high end German cars from all over the U.S.

There was probably more, but the heavy German accent got in the way. Overall, like Billga, I was very impressed with this guy. Best of all, my car's running much better and I'm not sweating every time I get behind the wheel. Thanks Billga!!

Hooked it up to a computer and made some adjustments to increase pressure.

We didn't get real specific because I had just had mine done and was more worried about the transmission's condition. Personall, I'd change every 25-30m miles. It's cheap insurance. Also, he wasn't too keen on flushing.
