Slipping in 3rd and 5th gear
77,000 on my 2008 Audi a4 transmission slipping in 3rd and 5th gear. Have had the fluids flushed and a new kit put on and still doing the same thing. Shop is saying it needs an all new transmission at5 $7500. EEK, not doing that. Ideas?

Wow, 77k not very high, is it?
I guess you could unplug a few sensors and clean them (MAF, TPS, speed, cool temp, etc.). But if it's really 3rd and 5th slipping one of the clutch/brake packs is out, and with it $$$$.
