2008 A8L Driver Side Trunk Lid Taillight

My driver side trunk lid taillight is working sporadically. I can locate reasonably priced passenger side trunk lid inner brake lights, but not the driver side. Any suggestions?

moisture inside the unit could be the problem. lens leaking is common

take it apart, dry out, clean contacts, reseal lens
