2009 A8 4.2L Intake manifold adaptor change
Hi, The plastic part I have in the posted picture is subtly dripping coolant at a little point were the seams of the mold come together (cheap plastic on an $80K car engine!). The part is under the rear engine cover and called an intake manifold adaptor (item 17 in the diagram, little open tube in the center of my photo... usually has a hose from the coolant reservoir attaching to it. Has anyone here ever replaced this? I'm trying to figure out if i can do it without taking off the intake manifold (Warranty over), just some little parts in the way.
Also, what is that domed plastic cap with the hex nut and 25Nm torque on it. It looks like the cap for the Oil filter, but I thought that was under the Air Filter box for these BVJ engines.
Thanks all.

Can't help you with your first question. I wouldn't be surprised if you have to take engine out in order to replace that part. It's Audi.
As for your second question, it is oil filter.

Well, 1st off, I guess I'm happy that the domed plastic part is the oil filter. i guess they moved it out from under the Air filter box, which makes changing it a lot less work. Anyone else's advice on the adaptor part replacement would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
