There is also a different curvature which the aftermarket sometimes to "forget"; i.e., one side is more curved than the other. This is more a function of the assembly not the actual rubber blades - I think one can use new rubber inserts in the "old" blade holder assemblies. If you order them from a discount dealer (like AudiUSAparts) they are reasonable(ish).

I have used the longer version on both sides with no problem.

The 600mm Valeo wiper blade (valeo makes our OEM ones) is pretty readily order-able and cheap, but the 590mm is not.
Has anyone just stuck a 600mm (aka 24") one on the right. I just can't image such small size difference doing anything.. there is enough space to keep the extra 5mm from hitting the Right side of the windhsheld gasket.
Just want to see if anyone has tried to stick the same size ones on both sides.
Thanks
I believe I have 24" blades on mine now- I'd have to check. I could not find the sizing info anywhere, and didn't have the part #, so got what I could closest to OEM at the time. (Now I just grabbed the $24 per blade OEM from Amazon based on the part numbers, 4E1-955-425-D (left) and 4E1-955-426-D (right) ). The 24" doesn't wipe the windshield properly. It's not making full contact or something I'm not sure, but it leaves it streaky even with Rain-X applied.

Our garage9.com Range Rover adapter kit/blocks will take off the shelf Bosch and fit them in. Same technique. It's a CNC acetal block and two SS screws to mount up the blades. Works great, never have to OEM it again!

I just fitted my block kit, to the Range Rover. It's the same parts that allow the Frameless wiper Bosch ICON 464 etc to fit the Audi arms. Boy it works great. Smooth frameless performance. I have the same wipers on the A8 and haven;t changed them in a couple of years easy.
