Thanks for the quick reply. Just curious if there were any hidden screws or plastic fasteners that need to be parted in a specific way to avoid breaking. Is the connector in question the only one under the seat cushion or do I need to know which one?

BTW - this is my first Audi in about 17 years. Last one was a 1991 V8 (great car.)

Also, is this one of those things where the battery must be disconnected? I disconnected a seat sensor in the Wife's Mini Cooper S during satellite radio install and had to take it to my indy for reset

As you can see this is almost three years old tread. That's how long that fix works and how long I am forgetting it. No screws or fasteners, yellow harness and battery disconnected (though I never do that).

I'm starting to wonder if it is in the clock spring connection, or back at the control computer for the wires to this particular location. I will go read the codes again, but meanwhile anyone been through checking the connectors on the airbag system control module end? Where is the module generally (haven't pulled out Bentley again yet)?
I had that problem. Clockspring has a pair of contacts for the airbag that get pushed inside it while connecting/plugging into the lower part (might be module?), so the connection is fairly loose. My clockspring was trowing codes from time to time anyways so I replaced it. Since than none of those codes came back.

Good info mishar - thanks! I'll post the results next month (next time I'll be in Vegas where the car is.)

OK. Don't want to sound stupid, but how the hell does that seat cushion come up?!?!? I have the individual seating and I pulled on everything as hard as I was willing to (without feeling like breaking something was guaranteed.). Nothing moved. What is the secret???

Move the seat forward and reach underneath close to the door. You will find the release lever. You can remove the center part by pulling it up.

P.S. I am not that smart, I just have ELSA.

Thanks mishar, but are you sure the individual seating comes up the same way as the normal bench? I'm in vegas this weekend and it would be great to finally get this resolved.
