Not really. I've seen people going from Cancun to Cuba. No stamps in passports. But I would rather stay in Cancun.

Well if I told you all the places I've never officially been... we'd both be in a high security jail... but that's another story

Never understood the attraction to the islands down there but have lots of friends and colleagues who go.
I'd rather go to Manitoba or Saskatoon.
