Do You think it's totaled?
Victim of hit-n-run last night by a guy who the police caught because he lives a block away from me. He left a trail of his own body parts and the police followed the trail. It was a Ram truck.

You lost the headlight and probably all of the sensors behind the bumper cover, as well as the bumper cover. How is the radiator? How is the alignment of the hood and fenders?

Wow Tomas - that really sucks!!! At least they "found" the guy that did it so it can go on his insurance (if he has insurance).
If it is totaled - I think you know where to find another that is on the market right now...and you know that one has been pampered by its current owner for nearly it's entire life!

That’s some ****ty luck. Will almost definitely be totaled by your insurance co. Could you fix it for a fraction of the cost, YouTuber style? Absolutely! Maybe reach out to a couple of them, see if they’d be interested? Would be good to see it brought back to life to live another day. I’m thinking the likes of Samcrac, LegitStreetCars, etc.

Technically totaled, yes. Rebuildable to spec on a practical basis, probably also yes.
If it were mine, would want to know if the frame rail that comes forward and ultimately has the bumper shock mount is compromised in any way. If so, degree of difficulty goes way up to really get it right. Then not just in your garage bolt up and paint shop type stuff.
Also, isn't there a cooler in there just forward of the passenger side front wheel? There is on the W12. For any starting/running, make sure it is not compromised as far as holding fluid.

Absolutely it's totaled from an insurance co. standpoint. Our D3s have little to no value, and the cost to repair them is high. That = totaled. 5 years ago, my D3 had a low speed accident (impact around 5 mph) against the side of a car that ran a red light and veered into my car to avoid getting broadsided by traffic coming from the direction opposite of me. The swiping blow damaged main grill, lower left grill, license panel, left headlight, and light damage to hood. Repair bill was $8k+, mostly parts. Not totaled because then car was worth $15k. Now it's worth $7k, and would be totaled in a heart beat. You have a more valuable car, but lots more damage. That said, if I was a DIYer, I'ld buy it and fix it in a heartbeat (assuming no frame damage). D3s are great cars --- much more of a sport sedan that D5s or D4s.
