Default HOW TO INSTALL XM IN 2004 A8

I just bought a used Audi xm satellite receiver for my 2004 A8 (Part # 4E0-057-593-A). I also plan on purchasing the mounting bracket required for install (Part # 4E0-051-517). I know that the dealer offers free install for those of us who have '04 D3's, but rather than taking the car to the dealer just for that (since it needs no other servicing) could I install the unit myself. Do any of you know if its just plug and play for the module or if there is some sort of programming that only the dealer can do? I already had the MMI update done a while back and "satellite radio" is listed as one of the options in the band menu.

Default There is a software upgrade the dealer must do to support XM

You might as well the dealer do the whole installation.

If you have the Satellite option showing and the time in the center of the bottom of the screen than it is a simple plug and play installation. Plug in the four cables and you are ready to go.
