Default MMI Upgrade Prob.

I've had my upgrade for a couple months now. The one that adds the XM tuner and the clock to the bottom of the screen.

Does anyone elses have a lot of lag to it? Especially when changing radio stations?

Try hitting the central MMI button twice when changing radio stations in the memory function- this seems to speed up the switch to the new station. I think Greenie told me about this on this forum.

There is some lag at times. I have noticed it at startup when it takes some time before you can accept Greenie's warning screen and slow animation when changing menus. It's sort of like the computer is busy thinking and slow responding and updating the screen.

Default There is a lag after the upgrade

Jason,,
I notice a bit of a lag sometimes as well. Does not seem to cause a problem and does not bother me at all.

I have an '05 with the upgrade. There is a brief (3-4 second) lag going from FM to AM, but not the other way around. Everything else is relatively lag-free.

Default I would agree!

There is an occasional interruption transitioning between function screens or scrolling down a long list such as radio stations. While I'm not sure what was fixed in the MMI this is not uncommon when software is patched. You might have noticed about a year ago when Microsoft issued a security patch for Internet Explorer that there was a delay repainting the screen. This was caused by sloppy patch code that did not make efficient use of memory; in subsequent versions that issue was fixed. That may be what is occuring here.

In any case it doesn't bother me and if the MMI needs a few extra milliseconds to process a software instruction it's a small price to pay for otherwise flawless performance since upgrading.
