First let me say your contributions are very valuable.

Here's my situation, and I will start by replacing the temp sensor, as it's sounds easiest.
I have no codes nor a code reader.

vehicle: 2004 A8L 150,000km.

situation. when starting vehicle in morning the cooling fan launches into 'jet engine mode'. screaming loudly for about 20-30 seconds, then everything goes normal.
It's as if the fan feels it needs to engage at start up. (on level of expertise, I could carry a technicians wrench...maybe ! lol)

as an aside I recently had check engine light on with codes p0171 and p0174. cleaned maf sensore and changed air filter. check engine has now ben off for 1200km's. (I do have a basic basic check engine code reader)

The jet engine fan is what I want to cure

VCDS scan would be better than random replacing parts. Probably cheaper too.
