Interior door locks.

Up means unlock, down means lock.

That is not my opinion, it is not how I feel, it isn't my preference. It is a FACT.

It is not up for discussion, there are not differing opinions, there is no debate.

Default If you had a door lock button sticking up in the door by the window (like in the old days),...
how would you "un-lock" the door from the inside?

Default that's what I am saying.
You would pull the button UP.

My 2006 A8 had this correct, as you describe it. Up is unlock, down is lock.

My 2009 A8 has this reversed, which is incorrect.
