Just upgrade the wheels on your A8L, it'll feel and look like a new car. Get some S8 wheels or some really nice aftermarket wheels.

I'd recommend doing this for anyone that's not seriously considering an S8. Prior to actually picking up an S8, I upgraded my A8L with Hartmann 20" wheels, mirror caps, paddle shifters, stereo, and even an S8 grille. I should have saved my money. I liked the car better, but ultimately and obviously it wasn't anything close to an S8.

I've got 20" factory wheels with sticky summer Yokos on my A8 Sport, and while they , coupled with the slightly lower ride height, certainly make the car handle a bit better, the real magic of an S8 is the added power, gorgeous exhaust note, and exclusivity. None of which you can solve on a 4.2 A8

That's exactly what it is. Not only will you be driving a land yacht, you will be driving the King of all land yachts. The problem with being the king of the road, is that sometimes other subjects get in your way.

In my opinion real upgrade to the luxury A8L is an ultimate luxury W12. S8 is kinda of side track. Trying to be sports car it loose some luxury in the process. Nice engine though. But much nicer in Gallardo.

If you must have the latest tech, don't get D3 S8.
If you must have the luxury stuff that are in your D3 A8, don't get D3 S8.
If you worry about the gas milage, don't get D3 S8.
If you are tight with the money, don't get D3 S8.
If you need a fridge in the back seat, don't get D3 S8.
