Had my 5K. Car was in the shop for 7 hours, from drop off to pick up. Casey/Stevens Creek was awesome as usual.

Everything seems to have been done well. MMI shows 10K until my next service. I can't tell you how good it feels to be looking forward to 10,000 miles of NOT seeing my dealer.

Was planning to stay and work from the dealership when I take mine in.
Not sure about that now.

Is that pretty standard for the 5k ?

My 5 k service included changing the overflow tank (recall) and it was about 3 hours.


What did they do for 7? Perhaps go for lunch using your car?

I would like to give Audi of Chantilly a shout out. They have great service people. They allways put me in an A8 loaner. I had another thread about shaking when I stopped and it was not an easy issue to figure it. They replaced the exhaust system and now it runs great. The service department did a great job of calling me and keeping me up to date.

I feel a slight shaking as if going over small ridges on the road when the car is very close to a full stop. Please tell me more about the "shaking" you experienced and what steps they took to determine the cause and the solution. Thanks. BC

The shaking would occur while slowing down or excellerating between 20 & 40 mph. It seemed like a vibration from the front passenger side. I changed the tires first then I had the tech drive with me so he could here the vibration. They thought it was a the water pump at first but that did not fix the problem then they replaced the exhaust system now it feels brand new. No vibration and smooth breaking. You really need to make them ride with you so they could see how to reproduce the issue.

I went for the 5K service (Oil change) and they told me that they had 2 recalls one of them was the overflow tank and the other I'm not sure what it was to be honest, they kept the car overnight and detailed the car in and out for free not just a car wash, they did the same thing with my 09 several times. great way to keep a client happy.
