One can only hope that since the problem you refer to was known about before my cars production date, it would make more sense fiscally, to fix the problem at the time of production instead of fixing it later at a higher cost.

Assuming that the problem was known in time for a fix readily available for immediate implementation on the production line.

2nd point: Who knows, perhaps I'm subconsciously hoping for an excuse to jump to the Pan 4S---the A8 is a terrific car, but I might be in the throws of a mid-life crisis that's feeding off the port hold up. ;^)

Hey V10- You were correct, the car was released from the POE and is now on its way to my dealer. Should arrive sometime next week.

While I think the PanAm is hot, I don't think I would like the buttons/ergonomics. I know you will love your A8. I don't think anybody handles the technology better than Audi.
