Windshield nozzle "jet" Sprayer vs "mist"
So im not sure if i'm alone here, but im starting to grow tired of the 3 jet spray. The jets are not aligned and overspray all the way till the rear window leaving the windshield with poor coverage. Plus the overspray gets all over the sunroof and side windows.
After digging online, i found that others have the same issue with their Audi's and are opting to replace them with OEM mist (fan) spray which even comes with the optional heating and made by VW.

Anyone else try this? here's a video of the replacement instructions and new nozzles:
https://youtu.be/sB3woOd6wyA?t=5m38s

Looking to source these if anyone has any recommendations.

Apparently car mfg went with jet vs mist because at speed the aerodynamics of the newer cars means the fluid doesn’t reach top of the screen
Try the swap and let us know but pls test at highway speed

I finally got around to replacing the original Three-Hole Sprayers with the Fan Style Sprayers from the 2016+ A6. It took less than 10 minutes to do and cost about $50.00.
The parts you will need are the Fan-style heated Nozzles from the current A6:
4G0-955-987-A (left)
4G0-955-988-A (right)
You will also need a T-8 Torx bit to adjust the spray height. Once installed, turn counter-clockwise to raise the spray angle.
Here is a video of someone doing this on a different modeL
The new nozzles were a perfect fit and I love the fan spray so much better than thee jets.

BUmp. Anyone with more feedback on this? I also don't like the windshield spray. It gets the entire roof and back window. Also, is there a way to turn off the headlight spray thing? I didn't even know the car had it and all of a sudden one day I see all this water spraying up onto my clean hood. I was like WTH!?!

Awesome!! I was wondering if other models could fit... I'm not sure who designed the jets, but they are terrible.. If it would have been like 6 jets, I could see it working better at speed. But 3? They just end up spraying everywhere!!
I'm a Q7, different; but the nozzles look like they fit according to the Audi parts site.
I found a Russian site talking about the same thing. Pics for clicking on there.
