brake failure update.
Ok, It probably was at night (and I was overwhelmed with the event) and I did not notice it, but I was absolutely wrong, when described the problem. When I look at my car at the morning I found a puddle of brake fluid under the rear wheel. And It looked, like the brake line is torn. It would be simple to replace this line myself, but because I already called towing, I decided to leave the task to the mechanics. So today they call me and confirmed, that line is torn. And they said, that it is really unlikely to see torn line and I replaced lines last year. One of the ideas is line was torn because of the lowered suspension. Another - somebody deliberately damaged it. . I asked mechanics to keep the broken line, because I want to see what it is. Did anybody seen anything like this before?
Another issue, even, if I have leak at one wheel, I expected, that two contour brakes should still supply some pressure for the second independent contour. Am I wrong?
Another bad news, Two months ago I have ordered A8 rotors and stinless brake line from stoptech. They still did not ship my order. Today I asked them to send at least lines. I hope I will not pay twice to install lines right now and then in a month.

You could have kicked up a piece of tire re-tread........
I've seen cases where pieces have ripped thru oilpans like a knife. Or it could have been other debris in the road that caused your hose failure.
But I highly doubt that your lowered suspension had anything to do with the line failure.

When you lowered your suspension did you install new tires? Or different size tires? That could have nicked your lines, and did you get any kind of warning from your onboard systems, i.e. ABS/brake lights, or the onboard computer, I know that is the last thing that you think about when in that kind of situation, I would think that you should have some kind of back pressure and it depends on how fast you were going, Hey good luck and I hope everything works out.

Could be that you just got a bad line.....
Sometimes these things happen. That lines gets hit with a lot of pressure. Remember the popping noise you described? Now think of over inflating a balloon, what happens. Even the best of us can pop under pressure. LOL!!!

dual diagonal circuits ensure that two brakes work...
So if one rear hose failed, then you would still have the other rear wheel, and that rear's opposite front. However, to haul down a fairly large, weighty car with essentially one front tire (the rears do very little work) may make it seem like you have no brakes.
