secondary air injection cleaning
The check engine light came on my Audi a6 3.2l, the codes read p0491 p0492. I took my car to the dealership and they informed me that my secondary air injection bank 1 and 2 needed to be cleared of co2 build up. Overall this repair is going to cost $2,600, my question is if there is any way to solve the problem without paying the outrageous dealership price? Also if there could be something else wrong that needs to be fixed?

there is an extended warranty up to 100k milled issued by Audi and the repair should be free
I hope I’m not to late and you did not pay for it or maybe you can ask for reimbursement
I have a technical bulletin from 2016 that explains it. If you google “Audi secondary air system warranty repair” it should pop right out
good luck
