I bought some rebuilt front axle shafts from my FLAPS and they didn't come with the outer one-time use bolt. I went to the local dealer and they would have to order them(1 week). I know I can get the bolts if I buy the outer CV boot kit, but that's kinda pricey if all I need is the bolt. SJM can get the bolt but they are now an allen type bolt and I would have to source some tools to get the 145ft/lbs + 1/4 turn torque right. Any ideas?

You have the old bolts? If so a little Blue locktight & your good to go. BTDT several times.

Just inspect the bolts & clean them off with a wire brush.

& "one time use bolt" is with a wink & a nod.

Lobro boot kits come still with the bolt & not the Allen type piece of ...

I'd reuse em, and as far as i can remember my cv boot kit didnt include it anyway. Just done reuse the head bolts, and you'll be a-ok with some lock-tite

audi dealer has them. I could send you a pair in a week or so.

I have re-used the old bolts applying new blue threadlocker compound to it, and no problem.
