Oil drain plug is will not come off!!! >>
I usually do my own oil changes and it wouldn't move. Brought it to a shop today and they had no luck. Said they were afraid of cracking the oilpan. I had the oil changed when I had some other work done at another shop. Wonder if they will stand behind there work. Why will this not move. Never had this problem.

sounds like you never put in a compression washer...
same thing happened to me... you have to nail it with a cold point chisel to break it loose...
Best of luck... its a pain in the ***.

I don't think removing an over tight oil drain plug..........
can crack the oil pan, but your oil pan threads may be messed up. If so, you may have to retap the threads in the oil pan, or install a helicoil to create new threads.
My oil pan threads or pan bolt are a little messed up courtesy of previous owner. The bolt won't smoothly screw into the threads. I recently purchased a replacement pan bolt from Advance Auto parts. Cost was $2. It came with a plastic washer. I haven't tried it yet, but will with my next oil change. Curious to see if it seals better then the stock one in use now.
