so, where does the boost guage on a 91 200t get it's reading from?

it's the best place
Just "T" off it.
I know some will say to used the hose to the manifold under the hood..but I suppose it depends on how much hose you wanna run.
But thats were I tapped into the system when I had my ol 200tqa.
& I tapped into the cig lighter power for the light on the guage.

Its ok to plumb it off the main intake port if you use plastic line.
if you used that much length of rubber line I'm sure you'd lose a psi or two at boost...
But yes, some go off the line at the ECU.

Just be carefull using
plastic line..it gets brittle & if it developes a crack or something it may cause you to lose some hair while you wonder what the problem is totaly overlooking the plastic line.
I say keep the line in the car..& tap off the ECU line there.
But I would trust Adam on this..I mean look at his setup...drool!

Probably go the ecu line route.........
I have 6ft of hard plastic vac line that should get me there. I'll decide for sure when I get a better look at it. Rather not go through the firewall unless I find a spot that's real easy.
I'm hoping to get the light connected to something that goes to the dimmer switch for the dash lights.
Thanks for the tips guys!

Simple...
Run it off the back of the intake manifold. There's 2 small ports there you can use. Simply cut the hose and put a tee in there. Then simply run the hose through the firewall near the rack and then guide the line under the dash to where you need it...5 minute job.
I've done it both ways and I find this easier than trying to tee in at the hardline. Both ways work fine.
I usually use a nice brass compression fitting tee which can be rather large, so there isn't a whole lot of room under the ECU kick panel for it to fit IME.
