Newbie with G60 brake conversion question

I just got a 1990 90 Quattro 20v sedan after a 17 yo ran a ss and totalled my 89 325i.
I need brakes on the 20v, but have found conflicting info on the G60 upgrade. Will I need to change the struts to bolt up the G60's or do they mate to orig strut?
BTW, anybody have some G60's they might want to part with?
Also, will I need a tool when replacing the rotors and pads on the rear to 'screw' the piston back into the caliper?

You don't need different struts, the tool is only for the back calipers...
and even then I have not needed it.
I believe I have a set of G60's that I could sell, $100 I think is the going price??
The link below is a good one to know,

wow...your E30 faired a little bit better than my brothers did...looks familiar though!
after he hit a tree. Now he has an '89 325is, and a 20v 90q. Good choice on a replacement car!

Re: You don't need different struts
Thanks Jim!
I'm waiting to get the 'Bentley Bible' ($100+ ouch!) till i do the Timing belt and H2O pump; so I am grateful for help from the forum folks!
If you have a set of G60's in good shape I would be V intrested.

Re:your E30 faired a little bit better
Glad he got away after loosing that battle!
Sweet 90q, btw.
Mine is a little rough, but I will try to get it mechanicaly sound for use as a work car.
I had an '86 4000CS Q years ago (my first Q), it was great, I always would grin when there was 4" of fresh snow on the road....heh heh

have you looked at www.20v.org
if you haven't...bookmark it. It's a great resource for our cars. Some of the links haven't been updated in a while, but all of the important stuff is there. Including a how-to on the TB/H2O pump job.

if you have 2 piece brake lines you can just swap the caliper/carriers over and
maybe need some washers to space them correctly, but i don;t think 20v needs them. you will need to use the rotors listed on 20v.org

<a href="http://www.fap99.com/item.wws?mfr=BREMBO&sku=VWW065766&price=47 .40&orpartno=939257&cookieID=1YY09IZFE1YZ1 EH3EL&image=http%3A%2F%2Fcatimages2%2Esophio%2 Ecom%2Fwebapp%2Fwcs%2Fstores%2Fservlet%2Fimc%2Fima ges%2Ftn%2F8
