I'm currently just using my standard garage door opener clipped to my visor, no big deal.

I've programmed Homelink on previous cars and had no trouble.
Have you tried going to homelink.com and entering your car and garage door opener for exact pairing instructions? They can also be reached by phone at 1-800-355-3515.

No, but I think I will do just that. Thanks for the heads up!

On a 2017 Premium Plus I saw at the dealer, the Homelink module (3 button) was installed in the headliner to the right of the driver sunvisor.

It's a port installed option (PIO) for the 2017 Premium Plus ONLY - $295 retail. It was not available on my 2017 Prestige order as a PIO - nobody at the dealer could explain why.

My 2017 S3 order was moved to the 2018 model year production and I was informed that Homelink is now standard on the 2018 S3 Prestige. I am assuming it is still a PIO for the Premium Plus but I have not seen a 2018 S3 order guide that shows this.

For 2018 it is a PIA for the P+ and standard for the Prestige.

Oops - PIA, PIO is the term I know other manufacturers use.

Do you think the Germans care that PIA can mean Pain In (the) A$$ here in the US ;<)

I think every other Audi has homelink as standard equipment. All mine have it, even my 2006.
